Our workshops, led by professional DBS-certified filmmakers, offer young people hands-on experience in planning, shooting, and editing their projects. We cater to participants aged 7 and up, including schools, youth groups, and young people with special educational needs. All equipment is provided, and the completed films are available online for sharing. Workshops are flexible, adaptable to specific needs, and designed to develop skills in teamwork, communication, confidence, and leadership.

Enrichment Workshops
Podcasting/Voiceover Workshops
These beginner-friendly workshops teach participants to record their own podcasts, voice animations, and interpret scripts. Through practical exercises, students learn technical recording skills and how to set up a home studio. Recordings from the session will be available for participants to take home.
Back to Basics Workshop
An introduction to filmmaking for beginners, this workshop covers the use of various filming equipment and roles in production. Participants learn visual storytelling techniques and gain experience both behind and in front of the camera.
Script to Screen Workshop
This workshop guides students from initial story ideas to final edited films. Participants develop characters, plot, and scripts, and learn how to shoot and edit their projects, fostering creativity and teamwork over several days.
Music Video Workshops
Ideal for students aged 10 and up, these workshops encourage creativity through making music videos. Participants choose a soundtrack and develop a video using various styles, learning filming and editing techniques along the way.
Editing Workshops
Using industry-standard software, these workshops teach participants how to edit previously shot footage, ranging from basic cuts to advanced editing techniques.
Movie Trailer Workshops
Students learn to create film trailers, from brainstorming ideas to writing scripts and editing final cuts. This workshop focuses on storytelling elements like genre, character, and plot development.
Build a YouTube Channel Workshops
For students aged 10+, this workshop helps participants create and grow their own YouTube channel. We cover everything from filming the first video to understanding subscriber growth, using real-world advice from successful YouTubers.
Live TV Workshop
This workshop is suitable for students aged 11 and up. Using Blackmagic Cameras and ATEM Mini switchers, you will create professional multi-camera productions, live streaming content that could be used for your school TV channel. By learning advanced technical skills with our professional equipment and live mixing in our multi-cam green screen studio, which we bring to you, you can work towards producing your very own “One Show.”
Documentary & Heritage Filmmaking Workshops
Targeted at ages 12+, these workshops guide students through the process of creating social documentaries, focusing on research, story development, and filmmaking techniques. Finished projects can be showcased online or at special events.
Animation Workshops
Suitable for ages 8+, these workshops explore various animation techniques using materials like paper, sand, and plasticine. Participants bring their creations to life with sound effects and music, with no prior experience needed.
Green Screen Workshops
These workshops allow students aged 8+ to create films using green screen technology, adding imaginative backgrounds and animations in post-production.
Pocket OSMO Workshops
For ages 13+, these workshops utilise Pocket Osmo cameras to capture dynamic, action-packed footage. Participants can use the cameras in creative ways, from mounting them on skateboards to strapping them to pets.
Audio Workshops
Students aged 12+ learn to create soundscapes for films, including voiceovers, sound effects, and music. These workshops focus on the auditory aspect of storytelling.
Producer for a Day Workshops
In this interactive workshop for ages 13+, participants manage a fictional £10 million film budget, making decisions on actors, locations, and more, simulating real-world film production challenges.
4 Day & 5 Day Film Schools
Suitable for ages 10+, these intensive workshops offer the chance to script, film, and edit a short movie over four or five days. The experience concludes with a special award ceremony celebrating participants’ achievements.
4 Day Film Challenge
Teams of young filmmakers aged 10+ are challenged to write, shoot, and edit a short film in just four days. This workshop encourages creativity, teamwork, and quick thinking, with all equipment provided.
